DATA PROTECTION ACT To avoid having to register our Unincorporated Society
under the above Act, we need the permission of each member to retain their
name, address, postcode and telephone number as data stored on our computer
database. The Officers, Newsletter Production Team and Video Librarian need
this information to inform you of meetings, send out notices, membership cards,
newsletters, videos etc. (You realise that the above
workers are all voluntary and appreciate any labour
saving devices!) This data will only be used for the efficient running of the
Society and will not be given to any person outside the Society. As soon as
membership ceases the information will be erased from our database. Your
assistance in this matter would be much appreciated. Please enclose a signed,
written request if you do not wish your records to be kept on the database.
